The Teddies

Mrs Palos with some of the TeddiesI'm Mrs Lindy Palos, the Teddies teacher. I joined the Lea as a permanent Grade R educator at the beginning of 2006, but have a long connection with the school.

My sister (the laat-lammetjie of the family) was in Mrs Naude's Ladybird class in 2001 and my mom was the secretary for two years, so the school is very dear to me. During 2005 I was the aftercare teacher as well as taking care of the Grade R class for three and a half months while their teacher was on maternity leave.

For as long as I can remember, children have been a part of my life. I've been baby-sitting and au-pairing locally, nationally and internationally for the last ten years, as well as running Scripture Union holiday clubs at my church. I did a four-year BPrimEd degree at Rhodes University in East London, including many weeks of practical training.

I'm married to David Palos, who works in Khayelitsha and Guguletu. We both passionately enjoy being outdoors, especially the beach!
